Relative centrifugal force (RCF) is the force exerted during centrifugation. It is calculated using the formula: RCF = (RPM)² × 1.118 × 10^-5 × r, where RPM represents revolutions per minute and r is the distance from the center of rotation in centimeters. This equation shows that RCF depends on both the rotational speed in RPM and the distance of particles from the center. By inputting the RPM and distance in centimeters, one can determine the RCF.
